About the Club

Thames Motor Yacht Club’s primary objectives are the encouragement and development of motor boating.

This includes the provision of:

  • a social centre for members,
  • moorings for craft,
  • facilities for information, instruction, education and advice upon all matters pertaining to the sport in general.

Everyone’s out for Sail Past!

The Club provides moorings bankside and pontoon for up to 26 boats. These moorings are available to Full Members of the Club.
Visiting boats from other clubs are welcome with prior arrangement and visitors are welcome to join members in the Riverside Bar when open. A charge is made on a per night basis.

The main Clubhouse has facilities to entertain and feed up to 100 people, has its own large bar and fully fitted galley. Dinner and dances are frequently held there for the benefit of Club members and when the members themselves are not using the Club, it is available for hire for outside functions.

Riverside Area

Overlooking the moorings is the Riverside Bar, with its own bar and galley. Open on Friday nights and at weekend lunch times with its large patio and barbecue area ever popular with the members during the warmer summer months.

We have eight categories of membership, and we are always open to new members.
